Glengormley Pugilists make contribution to Children's Hospice
On Friday evening 27th June 2008, Trevor Dornan from the NI Hospice called into the Club to collect a cheque for £1000.
The award from Glengormley ABC was presented to the Children's Hospice as part of the sponsorship raised by the members for the Hospice's Sponsored Walk/Run around Belfast Castle back in April.
Members of the Club raised £650 and Mark Kelly Treasurer agreed to make it up to a grand if the Bank of Ireland would go halfers... The Glengormley Branch finally agreed to donate £175, so along with the Club donating the same, a grand total of £1000 was awarded to the deserving cause.
