Entries: To be accompanied by Medical Record Cards through the Secretaries of the Provincial Councils and of the Antrim and Dublin County Boards on the attached Entry Form to reach the undersigned at the National Stadium by Friday February 22nd.
Entry Fee: €10 per boxer.
Qualifications: Every Province together with Antrim and Dublin County Boards are entitled to enter one boxer only in each weight division including current Irish Champions who have won their Provincial/Unit Championship. All these boxers may be allowed to move up one weight only. The only exception to a unit having more than one entry per weight division is in the case of current champions who were beaten in or did not compete in their unit championships. They may be entered but must compete in the weight they are entered at. A unit having a vacant weight may enter a boxer at this weight. This boxer must weigh in at the stipulated weight and must be entered separately on a separate page and will not be allowed to move a weight. This condition also applies to boxers entered at Extra Weights. All competitors must be formally entered by their entitled units and such entry forms should arrive at the National Stadium by the stipulated closing date for entries.
Attention is called to the stipulation in the IABA Rule Book that “each boxer presented by his club for competition shall be fit to box. This the responsibility of his club”.
Attire: Coaches must wear tracksuits and runners in their corners at all sessions and endeavour to set a high standard of hygiene.
NB. It is a condition of entry that all boxers and their clubs have signed and submitted the Members Acknowledgement Form and it is the responsibility of the entering unit that this stipulation is complied with.
Yours sincerely,
Sean Crowley Hon Secretary IABA
