A County Antrim select team travelled to Scotland on Friday 30th May 2008 returning home on Saturday with seven wins out of eight and best boxer award!  The team included:

Antrim select sees off Scots

Antrim’s boxers defeated a strong Scottish select in an entertaining clash in Perth at the weekend.
An initial setback loss in the opening bout was quickly pegged back by young Sean Higginson of the St Agnes’s ABC in west Belfast.
Hard-hitting Nathan Kane (Gleann) took the decision out of the hands of the judges with a second round stoppage win to put the Antrim squad on the road to a 6-1 victory at the Angus Hotel in Blairgowrie.
