Sponsors of the ULSTER SENIOR AMATEUR BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008
Entries: These MUST be received by the Hon. Secretary by Saturday 5 April 2008.
Medical & Weigh-In Will take place on Saturday 12 April at 10.00am-11.00am At the following venues:- Dockworkers Social Club, Pilot Street, Belfast. Clonoe ABC, Coalisland, Co. Tyrone. Ring ABC. Brooke Park, Derry.
Medical Record Cards must be produced at the Weigh- In. Boxers must advise the Doctor of any Medication which they are taking or have taken during the previous four weeks. Boxers must present themselves Clean Shaven at the Weigh – In and on the days they are required to box.
Ulster Boxers on International duties or at the 2nd European Olympic Qualifiers will be accepted at their weights and included in the Draw, provided they are entered in the Championships
Draw On receipt of entries from the three venues the Draw will take place in the Dockworkers Social Club at approx 12 noon on Saturday 12 April.
Preliminaries: In the Dockworkers Social Club, Tuesday 15, and Wednesday 16 April at 8.00pm. Weigh- In 7.00pm – 7.45pm.
Semi- Finals: In the Dockworkers Social Club Thursday 17 and Friday 18 April at 8.00pm. Weigh- In 7.00pm – 7.45pm.
Finals: In Andersonstown Leisure Centre, Andersonstown Road, Belfast. Thursday 24 April 2008 at 7.45pm. Weigh-In 7.00pm – 7.30pm.
Morning Weigh – In (by request only) for Prelims, Semi- Finals and Finals at all three initial Weigh-In venues. 7.15 am – 8.00 am.
Entry Fee: £5.00 per Boxer to be paid at initial Weigh – In.
Coaches: Must wear Whites or Track Suits and supply own sponge / spray and endeavour to set a high standard of hygiene in the corners
Boxers may wear their Club colours provided they also wear a Red or Blue Headguard for the appropriate corners.
Weights: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 91kg, & 91+kg.
ALL CONTESTS 4 X 2 MINUTE ROUNDS.
