Monkstown’s Chris Logan was the toast of

the Dockworkers Club last night following

his narrow win over the gallant Bernard

Canavan of Sacred Heart, Belfast in the

Ringsport Ireland Ulster Intermediate

Novice Championship finals.

In a pulsating, blow-for-blow

three-rounder, rookie Logan edged this

middleweight contest 13-12, with both

fighters drawing hearty applause from

appreciative Dockers’ fight fans.
